Simple & easy procedure for management of perforated sinus mucosa during lateral window approach : a case report

Abstract
|

|
The patient was admitted to my clinic for implant placement in the left posterior maxilla. I performed a lateral window
procedure to augment the sinus floor in the left pneumatized maxillary sinus. During the procedure, a 10 mm-size
perforation happened in the Schneiderian membrane. I don’t usually use a number of materials which have been reported
previously. Instead I used the Prichard periosteal elevator. Postoperative clinical & radiological results were excellent. This
method is very simple & easy to apply.
